Bring a Trike to Circle Time

 

A tricycle is a familiar plaything for young children, not often an object of study. Let's change that with an up close and personal look at trikes and bikes.

Set the Stage:

Circle Time
Depending on the ages and abilities of the children, try different motions to go with the lyrics. For “Ride, Ride, Ride,” show children how they can lay on their backs and pedal their legs as if they’re on a bike. For “Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily,” try moving your arms in a circular motion (just like you do in The Wheels on The Bus Go Round and Round).
